It all began in a bookstore…

Before embarking on her journey in publishing, Malorie began by operating a local independent bookstore and working within the community to help people find their book homes, igniting a passion within her for publishing.

Before taking over Parliament House Press, Malorie worked as a freelance editor for various science fiction and fantasy authors, as a contracted staff editor for online publications, and eventually as contracted editorial staff at Parliament House. She had the distinct honor of taking over creative direction when she accepted a promotion to the position of Editor in Chief in 2020. Now, in 2022, she has stepped into the role of head of the company and is excited to nurture and grow Parliament House Press into an exciting future of independent publishing.

A resident of Boise, ID, Malorie loves skating, writing long diatribes on her special interests, and her cat, Carraig Fearghais.
